Although Photography as a hobby is a new interest for me, I’ve always believed the sign of a good photograph is one that speaks to me in some way. Even if I’m not wholly sure what makes the image stand out at first glance.
With a recent investment in DLSR camera, with no real experience in using it, I’m determined to study the key principles and ideas and apply that to my photography. I’m looking to be able to take my own beautiful and inspiring imagery.
My most recent album features a trip around a regular venue of ours, Pittville Park, Cheltenham.
We had a picnic and then went for a stroll around the lake.

Keen to get started, I took my camera round Gloucester Docks. I have always been a fan of water in photographs. I feel like there can be a certain majesty in a imagery featuring water. Admittedly, I picked a dull grey and overcast day, not conducive for real beauty, but as a first venture into photography, I’m reasonably pleased with the results.
